Continuous transport services during the corona crisis
All over the world, measures are currently being taken preventing the spread of the coronavirus. Some measures have a direct impact on national and international road transport.
As a transport company and certainly our drivers have an important task and responsibility towards society to continue to transport necessary goods.
Certainly for the supply of food and other necessary products, we do everything we can to serve you. Given our internal measures such as working from home, adapted working hours and preventive hygiene rules, we would like to ask you to communicate as much as possible by e-mail via your regular contact person or [email protected].
The health of our and your employees is an absolute priority.
LET DRIVERS USE THE SANITARIES
Please give professional drivers the opportunity to wash their hands and go to the toilet so that they can respect basic hand hygiene. Drivers are the reason that shops or hospitals can continue to be supplied. Give them the respect they deserve!
"Without transport, everything stands still and shops will be empty."
May we also ask you to send new ordersĀ for collection or delivery only after you checked whether the address is open and accessible and that we can deliver or collect the goods. This is to prevent blockage of our crossdocks and the distribution system. Home deliveries can reach the threshold, but no further. If possible, we will be happy to carry out the transport order for you.
Due to additional control and safety measures at loading and unloading addresses and the limited occupancy of both our and loading / unloading places, delays can occur that are difficult to estimate.
We carefully follow the instructions in professional goods transport via the live blog of the TLV transport federation and through the latest travel advice. We adjust our services where necessary.
However, everything can change quickly, follow our news page on www.gheeraert.be for the current state of affairs in the coming weeks.
We ask for your understanding and cooperation so that we can deal with this exceptional situation together.
