Zwijnaarde warehouse

In addition to the existing sites in Bruges, Zedelgem and Loppem, since 2013 we have expanded towards Ghent. This has increased our storage capacity by 4,000 m².

The decisive factors in investing in this new storage facility were the rising demand for storage and its strategic location along the E17/E40/R4 routes. The depot is also strategically located for bringing in containers from the two principal Belgian ports of Antwerp and Zeebrugge.

This enables Gheeraert Transport to save 185,000 kilometres every year by optimising the planning between the various sites. The new logistics site is also in line with our eco-strategy to reduce CO² emissions.

The warehouse in Zwijnaarde falls under the customs bond system which means that customers do not pay any import duties or VAT when the goods enter.
